Biography of Norbu Tsering Rinpoche
1974 – Born on Tibetan New Year’s Day (Losar) in the Wood-Tiger Year, as the son of Lama Gangri Tenzin Rinpoche
Age 5 – Recognized by Churi Lama Rinpoche as the reincarnation of the abbot of Chicher Lang, Dolpo (Nepal). “To be designated as a reincarnation is without value. But one who truly possesses qualities is a spontaneously arisen reincarnation.”
Age 8 – Refuge vows taken, given the name Pema Lhündrub Dorje, first Dharma teachings received
By age 20 – Preliminary practices, empowerments, and several retreat cycles completed
9 years – Studies at the monastic university Samye Jedren Shedra in Nepal
2006 – Enthroned as Vajra Master at the monastery Pema Choling Drugpa by his father
Since 2014 – Annual teaching visits to Germany
Since 2015 – Also teaching in other European countries
Since June 2025 – Head Lama of Pema Choling at the Historical Parish Courtyard of Dewitz/Lindetal
